# Version 2.0.4

**February 28: Big macOS update – smarter tools, smoother performance \[Version 2.0.4]**

Our latest macOS release is packed with powerful new features, key performance improvements, and UI polish to make your proxy experience even better. Let’s dive in:

## ✨ What’s New in Version macOS 2.0.4

### Smarter Notes Section

We’ve revamped the notes feature to give you more control and clarity when managing your proxies. Organize, label, and customize your proxies with ease.

### Effortless Port Forwarding

You can now forward a specific port range — or all ports at once — based on your configurations. More flexibility, less hassle.

### Customizable Network Protocols

Tailor your connection with two optimized protocol options:

* **QUX Protocol** – For ultra-low ping and real-time responsiveness. Great for gaming, streaming, and live data tasks.
* **MUX Protocol** – Ideal for high-traffic situations, this protocol maximizes bandwidth efficiency with smart multiplexing.

Configure this feature in Settings > Proxy Settings.

### Light Mode Fixes

Our Light Mode beta just got smoother. We’ve resolved UI glitches and made the experience more polished and stable for day-to-day use.

We’ve also made under-the-hood performance boosts and fixed various bugs to keep everything running fast and reliably.

**Update now and experience the best of 9Proxy on macOS. We’d love to hear your feedback!**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.9proxy.com/changelog/macos/version-2.0.4.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
