# startHttpApi(port)

Starts the local HTTP API server at the given port.

```javascript
startHttpApi(port)
```

## Parameters

* **port** (<mark style="color:green;">number</mark>) – Port to serve the HTTP API.

## Return Value

number (0 = success) : Starts the local HTTP API server

## Example

```javascript
// example

sdk.startHttpApi(9090);

```
