# Hidemyacc

## Getting Started

Let’s get a few things ready first:

* [Download](https://hidemyacc.com/download) the **Hidemyacc** app.
* Create an account directly in the app (don’t use your browser—it won’t work).
* Make sure you’ve [port-forwarded your proxy](https://docs.9proxy.com/getting-started/residential-proxy-by-ips/for-macos-windows/configure-proxy) properly. This is important so your proxy actually works!

## Setting Up Your Proxy

Now let’s get your proxy running:

Open the **Hidemyacc** app and log in.

Click “**Create new profile**.”

In the profile settings screen, head over to the “**Proxy**” tab.

Choose “**Your proxy**” — this opens the proxy setup section.

Select your proxy type: HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5.

Fill in your local IP address and port (from your port forwarding).

Hit “**Check proxy**” to make sure it’s working.

Click “**Create**” or “**Update**” in the top-right corner to save your profile.

You’re All Set! Just click “**Run**” and your profile will launch with your proxy active.
