# Microsoft Edge

Before proceeding with the setup, confirm that you’ve successfully [port-forwarded your proxy ](https://docs.9proxy.com/getting-started/residential-proxy-by-ips/for-macos-windows/configure-proxy)for proper functionality.

## Open Proxy Settings

Open **Microsoft Edge**.

Click the ⋯ **Menu** > **Settings**.

Scroll down and select **System and performance**.

Click **Open your computer's proxy settings**.

## Configure the Proxy

In the Manual proxy setup section, turn on Use a proxy server.

Enter your Local IP in the Address field.

Enter the forwarded proxy port in the Port field.

Click **Save** to apply the changes.

## Verify the Setup

To confirm that your proxy is working correctly, visit[ ipinfo.io](https://ipinfo.io/) and check if your IP address has changed.
