# Windows

Follow these simple steps to configure a proxy on your Windows computer:

## Prepare Your Proxy

Before you begin, make sure you have already [forwarded your proxy IP and port using 9Proxy](https://docs.9proxy.com/getting-started/residential-proxy-by-ips/for-macos-windows/configure-proxy).

## Open Proxy Settings

Click the Start button

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Proxy

Under **Manual Proxy Setup**, click Set up next to "**Use a proxy server**"

## Enter Proxy Details

Turn on the toggle for Use a proxy server

In the Proxy IP Address and Port fields, enter the IP address and port you got from 9Proxy

Click **Save**

Done! Your proxy is now successfully configured on Windows. You can start browsing through your new proxy.
