# AdsPower

## Getting Started

Before you begin:

* Ensure you have [created an AdsPower account](https://app.adspower.com/registration) and [downloaded the app](http://adspower.com/download) on your device.
* Confirm that you have successfully[ port-forwarded your proxy](https://docs.9proxy.com/getting-started/residential-proxy-by-ips/for-macos-windows/configure-proxy) for proper functionality.

## Proxy Setup

Open the **AdsPower** app.

On the main screen, click "**New Profile**" to open the profile setup page.

Enter a name for your profile in the Name field.

Under User Agent, select your preferred device type.

In the **Proxy Type** section, choose the appropriate protocol (HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5).

Fill in the **Host:Port** fields with your proxy details.

Click "**Test Proxy**" to verify the connection. If successful, click **OK** to save.

## Confirm Your Proxy is Working

To ensure your proxy is set up correctly, visit[ ipinfo.io](https://ipinfo.io/what-is-my-ip) and check if your IP address has changed.
