# Octoparse

## Getting Started

Before you begin:

* Ensure you have [downloaded and installed Octoparse](https://www.octoparse.com/download) on your device.
* Confirm that you have successfully [port-forwarded your proxy](https://docs.9proxy.com/getting-started/residential-proxy-by-ips/for-macos-windows/configure-proxy) for proper functionality.

## Proxy Setup

Open **Octoparse** and sign in to your account.

In the top-left menu, hover over “**New**” and select “**Custom Task**”.

Enter the target URL and click “**Save**”.

Click “**Task Settings**”.

Select “**Anti-blocking**”, check “**Access websites via proxies**”, and click “**Configure**”.

Paste your proxy details and click “Confirm” to apply the settings.
