Use this step-by-step guide to configure your 9Proxy Residential Proxy on an iOS device.

Important

  • iOS only supports HTTP proxies over Wi-Fi networks.

  • HTTPS and SOCKS5 are not supported, and proxies cannot be used on cellular (mobile) networks.

1. Before You Begin

Make sure you’ve already generated a proxy session.

2. Step-by-Step Configuration

Open Settings on your iPhone.

Tap Wi-Fi.

Locate your active Wi-Fi network and tap the blue “i” (info) icon next to it.

Scroll down and select Configure Proxy.

Choose Manual configuration.

Enter Your Proxy Details

Toggle ON

Structured proxy string (see example below)

Your sub-account password

3. Here’s a sample setup using 9Proxy

  • Server: 38.180.149.107

  • Port: 17521

  • Authentication: ON

  • Username: useruser123-country-US-ssid-rhdN1907ma

  • Password: X12345678

The username includes your proxy targeting settings like country, session ID, etc. For help creating your custom proxy username, refer to this guidearrow-up-right.

That’s it! Once saved, your iOS device will start routing internet traffic from this Wi-Fi connection through the proxy server you configured.
