Before configuring a proxy in Chrome, make sure you have already port forwarded your proxy. Follow the steps below to complete the setup on Windows or macOS.

Open Chrome’s Proxy Settings

1

Open Google Chrome on your computer

2

Click the three-dot menu (...) in the top-right corner

3

Select Settings

4

Scroll down and click System

5

Click Open your computer’s proxy settings

This will open your operating system’s proxy configuration page.

Configure Proxy Settings Based on Your OS

For Windows Users

1

In the Network & Internet settings window, go to the Proxy tab

2

Under Manual Proxy Setup, turn ON the "Use a proxy server" option

3

In the Address field, enter your Local IP

4

In the Port field, enter the port number you forwarded (e.g., 10000)

5

Ensure the proxy toggle is switched ON to activate the proxy

6

Click Save to apply the changes

For macOS Users

1

In the Proxies tab, select the proxy protocol you want to use (HTTP or HTTPS) and toggle it ON

2

Enter the proxy server details you previously forwarded, including the IP address and port number

3

Click OK to save the settings

To ensure your proxy is set up correctly, visit https://ipinfo.io/what-is-my-ip to check if your IP address has changed.

Congratulations! Your proxy is now configured in Google Chrome.
